CEA-Springer Award to the Best PhD Thesis in Control Engineering - CALL 2017

The Control Engineering Group of the Spanish Committee in Automatic Control organizes this award to recognize and to stimulate research results obtained in the Control Engineering field by PhD students who have finished their PhD Thesis between September 2016 and July 2017. This will be an annual award and it will be regulated according to the rules described the corresponding rules document.

The PhD Thesis must be about some topic related with the Control Engineering field and at least one the supervisors must be partner of the Spanish Committee of Automatic Control and member of the Control Engineering group.

 The Theses presented in this call cannot be presented in the Award call of other thematic groups of the Spanish Committee of Automatic  Control.

The winner should give a talk about the PhD Thesis results at the meeting of the Control Engineering group that will be held in the Spanish National Conference during the same year of the award call. The award will be supported by Springer and by the Spanish National Committee of Automatic Control, and will consist in the following:
 
-        Accrediting certificate of the Spanish National Committee of Automatic Control.
-        Publication of a paper at the Spanish Journal RIAI about the thesis results.
-        Publication of the thesis at the Springer Theses Series.
-        Cash prize equivalent to 500€ awarded by Springer.

Candidate should upload on a compressed file the following documentation:
·       Form, provided as Annex I, formally presenting the candidate to the award.
·       List of contributions arisen from the PhD. This list should be elaborated on the basis of the form provided as Annex II.
·       Copy of the minutes of the PhD defence session by showing the qualification
·       PDF of the PhD
·       PhD Abstract and letter explaining the relationship with the activity and thematic field of Control Engineering.
